Calvin's Broken Script
The world they built. The world they hate.
A tribute to The Broken Script series — and to its second version, which this pack now supports. Slow, deliberate horror: random events, a handful of entities, anomalies, and a game that keeps going after you've stopped looking.
Scripted, not scripted-looking.
This pack is built to feel like Calvin's series rather than to explain it. The game stays recognizable: the same blocks, the same nights. What changes is everything you can't put your finger on — the events, the messages, the feeling that the world has started keeping notes.
It's intentionally slow. The Broken Script is not a pack of jump-scares; it's a game of paranoia where something happens just often enough that you never fully settle.
Scripted events, unpredictable order.
Random events
Environmental shifts trigger off their own logic, so two playthroughs don't fire in the same order.
Few entities
A small roster on purpose. You'll spend more time wondering than running.
One cue system
Audio and visual subtleties are wired together — the sound of something wrong arrives with the sight of it.
Client + server
Configured for both. Events run the same way in single-player and on a shared world.
The mod is honest about what it does.
Unlike most horror packs, The Broken Script doesn't stay inside the game window. This is the original warning list, kept because it's accurate:
- The mod can ban you from your own world.
- It can crash the game, and shake the window.
- It can write .txt files to your desktop and throw error popups.
- It will grief your world and destroy your buildings.
- Do not run shaders that change the moon's texture — the events break.
- Do not stack world-gen mods on top. Some events stop working.
Config lives in /tbs_config if you want to look under the hood. Don't run shaders or world-gen overhauls until you've seen a few events for yourself.

Fan-made, and stays that way.
No affiliation with Calvin or the developers of The Broken Script. If they ask for the pack to come down, it comes down. Every release is listed on Modrinth versions.
